Dear *|FNAME|*
I hope you are well. It is safe to say that as lockdown restrictions have eased, the tension for many has increased. Fears of a second wave and uncertainty about the future are building. There seems to be a growing divergence of opinion about the situation with some people over-cautious and others not cautious enough.
I'll be on Dermot and Dave on Today FM this morning at 10.30 doing my best to address the following listener's plea for help. I can guarantee that this individual's concerns are not unique - I am seeing many people in my clinic with similar worries.
"Hey lads, I’m looking for a bit of advice. My wife and I have totally different views on what to do with the whole Coronavirus thing. I want to stay at home and go on a ‘staycation’ but she’s adamant that we should go on our holiday away which we had booked. I know it was a lot of money but I just don’t feel comfortable going away at the moment. Similarly, she’s going out and about and meeting friends but I find myself in a panic whenever it comes to it. I don’t want to be a boring stick in the mud but the thoughts of going to a café or a restaurant freaks me out and as for going abroad...not a chance. It’s causing a LOT of tension between us and I don’t know what to do."
In this week's video, I share my top three tips to help ease fear and find balance in the coming weeks and months. It is also useful for dealing with situations like the one above. I hope it helps bring more peace, harmony and love to your relationships.
