The Positive Habit Weekly Blog - We Don't Have to Agree with Each Other
We don't have to agree with each other

"Judging a person does not define who they are,
it defines who you are."

Dear *|FNAME|*

I hope you are keeping well.

I'll admit, last week was tough for many of us, including myself - the introduction of level 5 lock-down in Ireland following all the uncertainty around it was a challenge. The goalposts have moved yet again!

In times of stress, unfortunately, and not intentionally, many of us judge other people as a means to release frustration. We divide the world into 'them' and 'us', so for example, the 'us' may be those who are obeying the regulations while the 'them' are those who are not. It can be difficult to see things from someone else's perspective and yet this is something we really must strive to do. The realisation that other people don't have to see it your way is ultimately liberating.  It is often true that we don't really know what is going on in someone else's life and so judging them without context is unfair. So is categorizing whole groups of people; it can be too easy to say, for example,  "young people are..."  or "old people should...''

In this week's video I guide you through a meditation that will help you to see things through the eyes of different people and to release some of the frustration you may have and also any judgements you may hold. This is both for your own good and also for the greater good of the collective consciousness. During these times when so many of us are feeling isolated we must psychologically pull closer together and not pull further apart.

Non-judgement is the way forward.

On another note, thanks so much to all who attended (almost 400 people) the 'Mindfulness Meets Hypotherapy' session on Thursday last. I'm so happy as the feedback has been great and the session seems to have helped people from all over the world from China to Canada! If you registered for the session and couldn't make it we will be making it available shortly as well as sharing it through the blog next week and on social media.

Sending light and love,

A Meditation to Practise Non-Judgement
“Thank you so much, Fiona! This course has literally helped change my life around onto a better track - I was in quite an emotional, physical and mental rut before starting this course, but through hearing your calming, reassuring voice and the various tips and support in the mp3 audios and written material, I have managed to move on and dig myself out of that rut. I am now living in a much healthier, happier and content way than ever before. All the best!”

Testimonials like this drive me to reach and help as many people as I can. I developed this life-changing course in 2016 and the volume of people who registered and completed the course was never so high as during the lockdown. It was incredible to be able to help so many people and I don't want that to end. Not now, not ever.

I have really noticed in my clinical work that, NOW more than at the start of the COVID-19 crisis, people are struggling to stay motivated and positive. Many also feel a sense of dread with winter approaching and what that might bring.

This uncertainty and changes we all face is causing an epidemic of anxiety but I am determined to help as many people as I can to not just to survive but to flourish in an uncertain world.

In order to do this, I also need your help.

Please donate if you can - to help us cover the running costs.

Share Your Subscription on Social Media when you register - your voice is hugely important to help your friends and family to also benefit from the course.

*The course is FREE with the option to donate. Its duration is 6 weeks but there is an option to extend if needed.

I am really proud of all the work we are doing so please do help us to help others.
