My Story with Anxiety

We all have moments in our lives that leave an imprint, moments we can never forget.

One of mine happened when my son was just two years and nine months old. I was thirty-three, and we were on our way to playschool. He refused to put on his shoes, and I completely lost it. I mean, really lost it. I screamed, I cried, I could barely breathe.

I can still see his little face looking up at me, confused, hurt, wondering why his mammy was so upset over something as small as a pair of shoes. That moment shattered me. I realised my anxiety, my inability to regulate my emotions, was out of control.

I felt ashamed that I had shouted at my gorgeous little boy. But that breaking point also became my turning point. From that day forward, I decided things had to change. I sought help. I learned. I transformed.

Today, my son is seventeen. We share a strong, beautiful bond, and I know that’s because I did the hard work on myself. I learned to manage my anxiety so he could be free to live his life fully. And in the process, I gave myself that same freedom.

    Why I Can Help You

    Until my early thirties, anxiety was woven into every part of my life. The thing about chronic anxiety is, you get used to it. You think it’s normal to live in a state of constant high alert, with racing thoughts, a tight chest, and a restless mind that never stops.

    I know that life. I lived it. I also know, just as deeply, the powerful shift that happens when anxiety no longer controls you. Through my own transformation, I became physically, mentally, and emotionally stronger than ever before.

    Since 2012, I’ve been guiding clients one-to-one through that same transformation. I understand the subtle, often hidden ways anxiety creeps in, affecting sleep, mood, energy, relationships, and your physical health. 

    And because I’ve lived it, I don’t just know it in theory, I know it in practice.

    I know the difference between living from your busy, anxious brain and living from your heart with calm confidence, grounded energy, and a deep sense of peace.

    That’s the shift I can guide you toward. The same tools and practices that I still practice personally and professionally today will help you, too.

    My Approach

    I combine clinical hypnotherapy with mindfulness, positive psychology, neuroscience-informed habit change and NLP tools. Together, we retrain your brain’s threat system and build calm, confidence and self-trust.

    The 3 In-Person Anxiety Release Sessions

    My in-person clinic offers a focused programme of three sessions. These sessions are built on my ARC technique — Accept, Release, Compassion:

    • Accept anxiety with awareness rather than resistance
    • Release anxiety from the body and nervous system
    • Compassion towards yourself, breaking the cycle of shame and fear

    If further work is required after these three sessions, clients then continue their journey through my online clinic.

    Please note: my online clinic is usually fully booked with a 6–12 month waitlist, so early booking for my online clinic, which is just opening, is advisable. 

    Session 1 – Accept

    • Understand your unique anxiety patterns and triggers
    • Learn rapid grounding skills and nervous system regulation tools
    • Experience your first personalised hypnotherapy session*

    Session 2 – Release

    • Techniques to release anxiety from the body and improve vagal tone
    • Explore gut–brain links and self-care rituals that support calm
    • Hypnotherapy and practical tools to steady your nervous system

    Session 3 – Compassion

    • Deepen self-kindness and resilience
    • Compassionate exposure and confidence-building
    • Integration of long-term strategies and personalised audio support

    A confidential personal history questionnaire to understand your goals and history will be emailed to you.

    Progress is evaluated through my positive emotions questionnaire. Homework is given between each of the sessions, which are spaced two weeks apart.

    If further sessions are required, you can continue seamlessly in my online clinic.

    *Recordings of all three uniquely hypnotherapy sessions will be sent to you for continued use between and after sessions. 

    Your Investment
    • Your Investment: €250.00 per session. 
    • Sessions are spaced two weeks apart, if you need more time between sessions financially, this can be arranged. 
    • The idea with the programme is that you don’t have to attend talk therapy for months on end – saving you both time, energy and money. 
    • Appointments are paid for in advance and subject to a 48-hour cancellation policy.

    • Location: see below. Worldwide online sessions are also available at a reduced rate, yet are subject to a waitlist. 
    • Availability: Limited in-person appointments in my Wednesday clinic – typical waitlist 6–12 months.
    • Confidentiality & ethics: Your privacy is paramount. I follow professional standards and GDPR requirements; consent and boundaries are clear from the outset.
