Why Book Sessions?

If you’ve struggled with restless nights, racing thoughts, or the anxiety of asking yourself ,“will I sleep tonight?”, you’re not alone.

The Global Sleep Crisis

Struggling with sleep is not just ‘your problem’ – it’s a worldwide challenge.

  • Around 27% of adults globally report significant sleep difficulties.
  • Between 10–30% of people experience insomnia symptoms, and up to 16% meet the full clinical criteria.
  • Sleep apnea alone affects nearly 936 million people worldwide — about one in ten adults.

(Sources: World Health Organisation–related data, PubMed, Time Health, Sleep Medicine reviews)

This means that at any given time, hundreds of millions of people are lying awake at night, feeling exhausted, anxious, and desperate for answers. Many people suffer from somnophobia, which is an anxiety specifically related to the anticipation of getting to and staying alseep.

BUT  the good news is: sleep can be re-learned.

Why My Approach is Different

“Sleep is a serious issue that needs to be taken lightly”

While the statistics show the scale of the problem, numbers can’t tell the whole story. What I’ve seen, after helping thousands of people all over the world, is that lasting change doesn’t come from quick tips or rigid “sleep rules.”

It comes from:

  • Undertsanding the psychological root of your sleep issues
  • Resting the nervous system so your body feels safe enough to switch off
  • Resetting circadian rhythms with light, movement, and natural cues
  • Building deep sleep-confidence — trusting that your body can and will rest
Why is hypnotherapy so effective?

Hypnotherapy works because it takes your mind off your mind. It gently helps you step out of the endless loop of racing thoughts, soothing the nervous system so your body feels safe enough to rest.

In this calm state, your subconscious mind can be retrained to release fear and resistance surrounding sleep. Instead, it learns a new truth: that you are worthy of rest, and that your body knows how to drift naturally into deep, restorative sleep.

Research supports this approach. A systematic review of hypnotherapy studies for sleep found that over 50% of participants experienced meaningful improvements in sleep quality, often within just a few sessions, and with very few side effects. This demonstrates that hypnotherapy is not only calming—it is also clinically effective.

This isn’t about forcing sleep — it’s about creating the conditions where sleep returns effortlessly. When the mind is calm and the nervous system is settled, you can finally allow yourself the good night’s sleep you need to be at your optimum health.

I’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of people across the world to rediscover the joy of a peaceful night’s sleep. My unique approach combines clinical hypnotherapy, psychology, spirituality, and sleep science, together with my training in Lifestyle Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).

This blend allows me to go far deeper than “sleep hygiene tips.” I help you:

  • Calm and reset your nervous system
  • Rebalance your circadian rhythms with lifestyle medicine, including light, movement, and routine

Build lasting sleep-confidence so you can trust your body’s natural ability to rest

My Personal Sleep Journey

Since writing my Irish Times best-selling book Sleep Well, my own sleep has never been better, even through the heartbreak of losing my father. What carried me through was exactly what I teach: a compassionate, science-based, and deeply human way of trusting rest.

That’s what I want to share with you.

The 3-Session Sleep Well Journey

  • Understand your own ‘sleep story’
  • Discover the power of Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR)

“One of the key components I teach in the book is that a good night’s sleep begins the moment you open your eyes.”

Session 2 – Resetting Circadian Rhythms & Strengthening Sleep-Confidence

  • Use light, movement, and gentle rhythm to align body and mind
  • Question the thoughts that were blocking your abilty to sleep well.
  • Learn how your daytime shapes your night
  • Build confidence by experiencing sleep coming more easily

“It used to take me 20 minutes to get to sleep … but now I’m normally fast asleep in two to three minutes.”

Session 3 – Integration & Lifelong Sleep-Confidence

  • Bring psychology, spirituality, and science together
  • Anchor resilience in your nervous system
